Adoption Support | Meets Every Wednesday @ 6 p.m. Starting 1/16
There is no greater joy for a couple than welcoming a child into their family. For some families, adoption is a way to do just that. While the sense of love and joy for the child remains the same, adoption does present new challenges and dynamics that natural born children do not bring. This group connects adoptive parents to help them learn from each other's experience and support them through raising adopted children.
Cancer Companions | Meets Every Thursday @ 7 p.m. Starting 1/17
Whether you have it or know a loved one with it, we all have been impacted by cancer. The connections you can build in this group will help you receive the attention and coaching you will need to navigate the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
Divorce Recovery | Meets Every Thursday @ 7 p.m. Starting 4/4 | Room C224
Childcare provided at no cost.
Most people will tell you that separation and divorce are the most painful and stressful experiences they’ve ever faced. It’s a confusing time when you feel isolated and have lots of questions about issues you've never faced before. Don't go through separation or divorce alone. Divorce Recovery is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences. This group is led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help you deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life.
A Seminar with ExpertsDuring the first 30 - 40 minutes of the meeting, we will watch a video seminar featuring top experts on divorce and recovery subjects. These videos are produced in an interesting-to-watch television magazine format featuring expert interviews, real-life case studies, and on-location video.
A Group with FocusAfter the video, we will spend time as a group, discussing what was presented in that week's video seminar and what is going on in the lives of our group members. For more information, contact Joan McMillin (email@example.com, 618.667.8221 x110)

Infertility & Miscarriage | Meets Every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of Every Month @ 7 p.m. Starting 2/5
Many women long for the time when they can conceive, carry, and welcome children into their lives and families. Many women learn the loss of a dream and the pain a miscarriage brings. In this group, women will meet to simply share and help other women walk the lonely path of infertility or miscarriage
Postpartum Struggles | Meets Every Wednesday @ 7 p.m. Starting 1/16
"I brought our bundle of joy home, friends brought meals, the photographer captured the image of my beautiful new family. Everything seems perfect, but why can't I stop crying?"
Postpartum depression and anxiety can ruin what is supposed to be one of the happiest chapters in life. This group will be a safe place for mothers--rookies and veterans alike--to be honest, open, and transparent with the struggles that mothering can bring. Each week will have a discussion topic, but the objective is to give each mom a chance to share and to receive encouragement.
Smart Step-Families | Meets Every 2nd and 3rd Thursday @ 7 p.m. Starting 1/17
Combining families along with step-parenting can be an exciting phase of life as we gain new loved ones. Yet this process can also create new difficulties and dynamics. Through this group, parents can gather and share their experience and hurts while learning from others experiencing many of the same emotions.
