Pastor Mark will present the second message in the series "The Faces of Spiritual Warfare" this Sunday during the Evening Service @ 6:30 p.m. We encourage you to come and learn more about this important topic.
Church Landscaping
We would like our church property to have a very welcoming appearance. To really accomplish this task we need more volunteers to help us on a regular basis. We need help with mowing, trimming, mulching, taking care of landscaping, edging of curbs and walkways, and picking up trash. If you would be willing to help, please contact Dean Brown (667-8221 x127) or Robert Cunningham (x114).
Decorations
Have you been blessed with the gift of creativity? Do you want to be involved in service through decorating and sprucing up the church? Our busiest decorating season will be here in a few months so now's your chance! The Decorations Team will be meeting on Thursday, September 9th at 7 p.m. in Room 245 to discuss decorating projects for the remainder of the year. If you have helped in the past or are interested in helping in any way, see Sunday's bulletin for more info. We welcome feedback and comments from anyone at anytime. Simply write your comments down and place them in the "FLOWERS" mail slot in the main office (by the copier). If you wish to remain confidential, you do not need to give your name. Thank you!

Crochet Group
Are you interested in learning how to crochet or teaching others? Want to use crochet to minister to others? Join our new crochet group! We will meet the 2nd Monday evening of each month from 6-7 p.m. in Room 175 beginning September 13th. All women (ages 16+) are welcome no matter your skill level- beginner to advanced! For more information, see Sunday's bulletin. There is no cost except your own supplies.
Church-Wide Picnic
Join us for fun, food & fellowship at the annual Church-Wide Picnic on Sunday, September 26th at Edwardsville Township Park from 3 - 6 p.m. Dinner will start at 4:45 p.m. Purchase your tickets at the counter in the foyer September 5th - 19th ($4/child 11 & under, $7/adult). Please bring lawn chairs and equipment if you want to play tennis or softball.
Worship Ministry
Choir Retreat Sept. 17th & 18th
This is a fun event- not to be missed! If you are already a part of the choir or would like to be a part of the choir, this is your chance! This will be the last opportunity to join the choir for the Fall. The Choir Retreat is a concentrated rehearsal as well as a lot of fun and fellowship. We will rehearse Worship music on Friday night and Christmas music on Saturday. Friday night dinner and Saturday breakfast & lunch are included. Cost is $10/person. IA Fit Club
If you have ever wanted to do "Insanity" or "P90X", this is your opportunity! We will be working out, doing the "Insanity" workout program, for FREE, every Saturday morning from 9 - 10 a.m. Join us and take back your health! If you are already fit, then take your fitness to the next level. This will be a program for any level of fitness- you work at your own pace! For more information, see Sunday's bulletin.

Singles' Putt-Putt & Bobby's
The single adults will be meeting at Centerfield Park in Fairview Heights (5620 Old Collinsville Rd.) on Saturday, September 18th at 5:30 p.m. to play putt-putt golf. We will go to Bobby's Frozen Custard in Maryville afterwards. For more information and/or to RSVP, see Sunday's bulletin.
Dynamic Marriage Course
The class that's about transformation, not just information! Dynamic Marriage is a powerful, marriage enrichment course that creates real and lasting change. Unlike many other marriage classes, its distinctive format encourages couples to break through barriers to intimacy, not just talk about them. Starting on Thursday, September 2nd from 6:30 p.m.-9 p.m., couples meet to discuss new concepts, develop new skills and delve into the unique 'dynamics' of their own marriage. ENGAGE Community Rally
The Student Ministry Engage (a.k.a. See You at the Pole) is right around the corner - September 22nd! This is going to be an awesome day for students from around the area to unite and pray together. We will have food and games starting at 5 p.m. (Cost is $2/person). Stuart Hall will be here to share the Gospel. We hope you can be a part of this awesome day. We also need adult volunteers! The Neighborhood Children's Ministry (Grades K-5)
The next KIDZStuff LIVE! will take place this Sunday, August 29th @ 6:30 p.m. in Room 224. KIDZStuff LIVE! is a high-energy, family worship learning experience for families with elementary-age children. We use crazy, off-the-wall humor to help families talk about spiritual truths and Bible virtues. This shared time for families can help spur meaningful spiritual conversations at home all month long!
Children & Preschool Ministry Conference
The Preschool & Children's Ministries are going to be REWIRED! This Leaders' Conference will be held on Friday, September 10th. Faith Club
Has your child been asking questions about faith in Jesus? Has your child made a decision to ask Jesus to be their Savior? Faith Club is an opportunity for your child to learn or review the basics of how to become a Christian and what it means to commit your life to Jesus. Children will also learn about baptism, the Lord's Supper, and church membership. The next Faith Club will be held Sunday, September 12th from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the Children's Area. Mothers of Preschoolers
MOM- are you looking to connect with other moms in your realm of the world? Look no further! "Momology: The Art and Science of Mothering" is our theme for this year's MOPS. We're offering two meeting times: Thursday nights and Friday mornings, both meeting the second week/month beginning in September. There is an annual registration fee of $30 plus semester dues of $30. Childcare is provided for each meeting, and we'll also have play-dates, and Mommy's Night Out! For more info, see Sunday's bulletin.

Sanctuary Seating
The growth we are experiencing is exciting, isn't it?! However, as we grow, we need your help. Our sanctuary has a seating capacity of around 800 people. However, it is getting harder to find seats for even 600 people, especially in our 9:30 a.m. service. We have a desire to spread out in the pews and take seats on the end of the pews. This keeps us from using our full capacity. It is requested that as you take a seat in the sanctuary on Sunday morning that you move to the center of the pew as you sit down. This will allow more of us to worship together in our Sunday morning services. Thank You!
