Haiti Relief
The Illinois Baptist State Association is currently in need of volunteers interested in going to Haiti to assist with relief efforts. There is a need for doctors, medical teams, and construction teams. Frame, cinder block, and reinforced concrete are the main building methods. Good health and physical fitness/stamina are essential. Mental health is also important, as volunteers must be prepared to deal with widespread death and destruction. For a list of immunizations required before going to Haiti, visit http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/destinations/haiti.aspx. If you would like to volunteer to help with relief efforts in Haiti, please contact Robert Cunningham at 667-8221 x114. If you would like to make a donation to assist in Haiti Relief, you may send in your donation in an envelope marked "Haiti Relief." For updates, please visit www.IBSA.org.
