Yard Give-Away & School Supply Distribution

Gently-used Furniture, Clothing, Toys & Miscellaneous Household Items – ALL TO BE GIVEN AWAY! Get ready for the new school year with school supplies and clothing!

SCHOOL SUPPLIES:
Limited supplies are available and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to residents of Madison County while supplies last (proof of residency such as a driver's license or utility bill required).
Children MUST be present to receive school supplies!
The purpose of this event is to help families in need. If you already have supplies or have funds available to purchase supplies, please be considerate of others who may be less fortunate.

Donations for school supplies will be accepted starting July 11th (see details below). All other donations may be dropped off in the Gym at the following times:

Wednesday, August 4th (6:30 - 8:30 p.m.)
All day Thursday, August 5th
All day Friday, August 6th

The following school supply donations are needed:
• Backpacks (especially for older kids, no wheels, please)
• Pencils (20-24/student)
• Calculators (scientific & basic)
• Pencil boxes (plastic)
• Clipboards
• Pencil pockets (zippered)
• Colored pencils (12 count)
• Pens (blue, black, red)
• Compasses
• Protractors
• Crayons (24 count, 1-4 bxs/student)
• Rulers
• Dry Erase Markers
• Erasers (both pencil cap & large pink)
• Scissors (blunt & pointed)
• Glue Sticks (4-12 / student)
• Glue (bottled white)
• Watercolor paints (tray)
• Hand Sanitizer (Germ-X, Purell)
• Wet Wipes
• Highlighters
• Kleenex boxes
• Markers (both wide & narrow)
• Looseleaf paper
• 3 x 5 index cards
• Ziploc bags (quart, gallon)
• 2 pocket folders (6-9/student)
• 3-ring binders

Beginning July 11th, please drop off school supplies in marked containers in the foyer and outside the preschool area. Items will also be accepted on August 5th & 6th in the Gym. For anyone who would prefer to support this outreach via a monetary donation, these will also be gratefully accepted and will be used to purchase specific items that are in short supply. These may be placed in the offering plate in an envelope marked "Yard Give-Away".

Last year, approximately 340 bags of school supplies were distributed to students ranging from preschool to high school age. Items listed above in bold above are especially needed. All donations are GREATLY appreciated!
